List of Companies Owned by Supervillains

Names are an interest of mine. Names can influence the thing that is named. A question I have is can a name be bad by itself? Or do names just represent bad things? To help answer this question I decided to construct a list of famous fictional companies owned by villains or supervillains. To help I referenced IGN’s list of the top 100 supervillains. Links to the respective Wikipedia page.

  1. LexCorp (LexCo) owned by Lex Luthor enemy of Superman. (DC Universe)
  2. Umbrella Corporation created by Ozwell E. Spencer and Edward Ashford. Secret mission is to create bio-organic weapons and eventually makes Zombies. Enemy of anyone, not a zombie. (Resident Evil)
  3. GG Enterprises owned by Kingpin aka Wilson Fisk enemy of Spiderman, Daredevil, and Iron Fist. It’s a media company that owns Spiderman’s likeness. (Marvel Universe)
  4. Damage Control owned by Kingpin aka Wilson Fisk. A construction company founded by Tony Stark and Wilson Fisk. (Marvel Universe)
  5. Oscorp owned by Norman Osborn aka Green Goblin enemy of Spiderman. I would not want to be Spiderman with these rich guys after him. (Marvel Universe)
  6. Maxon Aircraft Company owned by George Maxon aka Red Skull enemy of Captain America. (Marvel Universe)
  7. Veidt Enterprises owned by Adrian Alexander Veidt aka Ozymandias they sell action figures, perfume, and try to get people to work out. Enemy of Humanity. I would argue that he is not a villain as he does bring world peace. (Watchman)
  8. Ferris Aircraft owned by Carol Ferris aka Star Sapphire or Predator enemy of Green Lantern. I don’t know if it is a good thing or bad thing for the lack of women on the list. She was one of my favorite villains growing up watching justice league. (DC Universe)
  9. S.T.A.R. Labs owned by Harrison Wells impersonated by Tom Cavanagh aka Zoom enemy of the Flash. (DC Universe, Arrowverse)
  10. Iceberg Lounge owned by Penguin enemy of Batman. The lounge is a nightclub in Gotham city. (DC Universe)
  11. Symstemized Cybernetics Lab owned by Sebastian Shaw enemy of the X-men. Are you not sure who this is? You know the guy who was played by Kevin Bacon in X-Men: First Class. (Marvel Universe)
  12. Industrial Illusions owned by Maximillion Pegasus enemy of Yugi Moto. The company created the Duel Monsters and Dungeon Dice Monsters games. (Yu-Gi-Oh)
  13. Nygmatech owned by the Riddler enemy of Batman. I am a believer that the Riddler is actually a hero, but in the movie Batman Forever he was a villain. He created a company to sell a device that reads peoples minds then becomes crazy and believes he is Batman. But what if he is? (DC Universe)
  14. Stagg Enterprises owned by Simon Stagg enemy of Justice League. Simon isn’t a major supervillain but his actions are inline with an unethical businessmen. (DC Universe)
  15. Paper Street Soap Co. owned by Tyler Durden enemy of the Narrator. (Fight Club)

What do you think? Which is your favorite company? Did I miss one? Let me know.
